Mental Health First Aid: Free Training for the Space Coast

Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognized, evidence-based course that teaches everyday people how to recognize the signs of a mental health or substance use challenge and offer initial help — much like CPR does for cardiac emergencies.
Across the Space Coast, free 8-hour certification courses are periodically offered to community members, educators, first responders, and faith leaders. The training covers common conditions such as anxiety, depression, and substance use, and walks through a simple action plan for responding with confidence.
No clinical background is required. Participants leave with a three-year certification and a clearer sense of when to connect someone with professional care.
